1989 European Martial Arts Championships

This highly-touted tournament drew over 600 qualified competitors from 36 different countries who vied for the beautifully customized seven foot trophies in 19 Black Belt and over 40 lower Belt divisions, and the prestige which has become associated with winning this event. The Black Belt first place winners Musical KataShow, and forms, Grandchampion "The tiger from Curacau" Earl Blyd from the Netherlands. Chinese forms Seguin Serge - France, Japanese forms Mark Williams USA, Korean Forms Karlheinz Irig Germany.
